The purpose of the Academy is to promote knowledge relevant to clinical and basic Neurosciences (Neurology, Psychiatry, Neurosurgery, Functional Neurosurgery, Biological Psychiatry, Neurophysiology, neuropharmacology, neuroradiology, Functional imaging of the nervous system, Neurobiology, etc.) of Greek doctors and other scientists associated with this scientific field.
Specifically:
| A) | To organize seminars, conferences, symposia, workshops, schools, lectures, courses, updating physicians and scientists, the public, patients, multidisciplinary teams in health care, delivering courses on neurosciences, in Greece or abroad. |
| B) | The function of Library and Bank of Bibliographic Data on Neurosciences , provided to cover the needsof the members of the Association. |
| C) | The notice of scholarships to young scientists for their expertise in the fieldof clinical and basic neurosciences, promoting financial support of research scientists on the subject of neurosciences and other related scientific fields. |
| D) | The support of studies on topics relevant to the purposes of the association. |
The Academy of Neurosciences is a Panhellenic non-profit organization.
The Academy is governed by a five (5) Neuroscience board with a five year term.
